The new Korean crossover KGM Torres will appear in Russia with all-wheel drive


The new Korean crossover KGM Torres will be presented on the Russian market in three configurations in versions with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. This is stated in the message of the distributor company "Rex Motors", which was received by "Izvestia" on December 23. Sales of the cars will begin in early 2025.
KGM Torres became the first model of the brand in a new design style. The cars are produced in South Korea. Cars sold on the Russian market were promised a five-year warranty. The crossover will be supplied with a non-alternative 1.5-liter engine with an output of 163 hp in conjunction with a six-speed "automatic" Aisin.
The equipment list includes warm options (heated side mirrors, steering wheel, front and rear seats), two 12.3-inch screens, Russified multimedia with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto support, leather upholstery with ventilation and electric adjustment. In addition, the list of options included wireless charging for smartphone, keyless access, electric parking brake and electric trunk drive.
In the maximum KGM Torres configuration, the car will get eight airbags and various assistants, including emergency braking, lane keeping and high beam control.
SsangYong cars were sold in Russia since the mid-1990s, in 2018 the brand officially left the market. The company's return to Russia was announced in early November. On December 16, Rex Motors announced that it will bring the fourth-generation KGM Korando crossover KGM Korando to the market in the first quarter of 2025.
