The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), which is part of Rostec State Corporation, has built and handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry the Su-34 fighter-bomber and the Su-57 fighter. This was reported in Rostec on December 23.

"Rostec's aircraft manufacturing enterprises rhythmically supply aircraft to the troops. The Su-57 and Su-34 airplanes handed over today will soon take their place in the ranks. The Su-34 front-line bomber is valued by pilots for its high tactical-technical and combat characteristics," said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, as quoted on Rostec's website.

He noted that the Su-57 is the "king of the sky", the best of Russian operational and tactical aircraft, which after a long enough period of use in combat conditions has shown that it is indeed a fifth-generation fighter. This airplane can destroy the widest range of targets because it is equipped with high-precision weapons. In addition, the Su-57 is difficult to spot, and this allows it to bypass enemy air defense (AD) systems. This fighter can operate against land, sea and air targets around the clock and in any weather.

As for the Su-34, it is designed to strike targets that are above ground, water or in the air at a great distance from the bomber's home airfield and protected by air defense assets. The aircraft copes with its tasks in the face of enemy fire and information countermeasures at any time of day. Difficult meteorological conditions are not a problem for the Su-34. This bomber can be used in any theater of war and can be armed with both guided and unguided projectiles.

"The fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft complex and the Su-34 front-line bomber are the best aircraft in their class. Today they are solving the most important tasks and demonstrating their efficiency, advantages and excellent maneuvering and combat qualities," UAC Director General Vadim Badeha said.

He added that the employees of the aircraft corporation are working hard to fulfill the state defense order, and the UAC management guarantees an increase in wages and expansion of social programs for the benefit of employees.

Earlier, on December 6, Rostec's holding High-Precision Complexes fulfilled its annual contract under the state defense order, under which it supplied the Defense Ministry with BTR-MDM multi-purpose armored personnel carriers. The holding company said that the Rakushka BTR-MDM carries up to 13 paratroopers, ammunition, spare parts and fuel and lubricants. This vehicle can be used under different combat conditions and climate types.
