"Kalashnikov" created an improved version of the kamikaze drone "Cube"

Concern "Kalashnikov" has developed a new strike drone in the line of drones "Kub", which is significantly better than the previous models in a number of indicators. This was announced by the company's CEO Alan Lushnikov on December 23.

"We have developed several new products in the line of "KUBs". The authorization documents are already ready for one of them, so I can briefly tell you about our new product. This is the Kub-10E strike drone," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to Lushnikov, the model is designed to hit unarmored military vehicles, armored personnel carriers, command posts, air and missile defense facilities, logistics, field depots, drone launch positions, as well as aircraft and helicopters outside of shelters.

He noted that the range and combat power of the new guided munition significantly exceeds the performance of previous models of the line, Gazeta.Ru added.

Earlier, on October 21, the Kalashnikov Concern reported on the upcoming delivery of the Cub-E guided kamikaze drones abroad. The first export contract was signed by Rosoboronexport and a foreign customer.

In August, Eduard Baghdasaryan, general director of the Association of Unmanned Aerial Systems Industry Enterprises, explained that the Kub kamikaze drones are characterized by their simplicity and cheapness. The drone weighs about 15 kg and can be launched from any unprepared site. Kalashnikov showed a video with a launch example in April.

Newsweek predicted back in January that the modernized versions of the Cubes that had appeared by then could become a real "nightmare" for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
