The condition of people rescued after the emergency landing of the An-2 airplane in Kamchatka is satisfactory. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 23 by the head of the surgical department of the Milkovsky district hospital.

"The patients are in satisfactory condition. They are provided with all the necessary assistance. Currently receive treatment in our conditions of the Milkovsky district hospital in the surgical department," he said.

Irina, the daughter of the pilot of the An-2 plane found in Kamchatka, told Izvestia on December 22 that her father was in a serious condition and could barely talk. Igor Fedyuk, a doctor at the hospital where the passenger and two crew members of the An-2 were taken, shared with Izvestia that all of them may have hypothermia. In addition, he noted that one of the victims has a closed head injury and is undergoing surgery. Another of those on board was diagnosed with a chest contusion.

The disappearance of the An-2 became known on December 19. Later, the plane received a signal about the emergency landing, and a ground group of rescuers went to the alleged place of its commission.

Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka region Sergei Lebedev reported on December 22 that the previously missing An-2 plane had been found. He noted that people were evacuated by Mi-8 helicopter to Milkovo. "Izvestia" published footage of the rescue of the pilots and passenger An-2.

The passenger and two crew members of the airplane told "Izvestia" that at the moment of landing due to heavy fog it was not visible where the plane landed. The instruments also failed and they had to navigate by pre-wings. According to the men, they had small supplies of food with them, which helped them survive for more than two days. They also tried not to leave the aircraft due to snow and wind, and dug a hole under the airplane's wing to sleep.

A criminal case has been opened for violation of the rules of operation of air transportation. Nikolai Sepko, head of the Milkovsky district of Kamchatka Krai, said that the probable cause of the emergency landing of the An-2 airplane was icing. According to him, it led to the failure of instruments.
