Air defense forces destroyed one AFU drone overnight over the Bryansk region

Overnight, air defense forces destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) over the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 23.

"During the past night, on-duty air defense means destroyed one Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Bryansk region," the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, the Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz said that a drone was destroyed over the region. He specified that there were no casualties and destruction. Operational and emergency services are working.

Before that, December 22, Bogomaz said that the Russian air defense forces destroyed a UAV over the Bryansk region. There were no casualties or damage. On the same day, the governor reported the elimination of five Ukrainian UAVs over the region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
