Russian President Vladimir Putin plans foreign trips in January 2025. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on December 22, answering a question about the president's next foreign trips.

"They will be in January," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

At the same time, Peskov pointed out that the exact dates of the planned visits will be reported separately.

Earlier, on November 27-28, Putin made a state visit to Kazakhstan, where he met with the republic's President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. At the meeting between the delegations of the two countries, the Russian president pointed out that Moscow remains one of Astana's main trade and economic partners. In addition, Russia values humanitarian ties with Kazakhstan and actively invests in its economy.

Tokayev, in turn, emphasized that Astana continues to be a reliable ally and strategic partner of Moscow. The President of Kazakhstan called Putin's visit to the republic an important event.
