Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20) has started to snap more often due to a feeling of hopelessness and despair. This was reported by the Italian newspaper L'AntiDiplomatico.

"These 'nervous outbursts' happen for a reason: the catastrophic situation on the front, the arrival of [ US President-elect] Donald Trump in the White House, the shortage of foreign aid, and so on," the newspaper wrote.

The newspaper noted that Zelensky's inadequate behavior is also caused by the fact that the Ukrainian people understand that key decisions on the settlement of the conflict will be made without Kiev's participation.

The author of the newspaper stressed that with this behavior, the head of the Kiev regime once again showed his incompetence as head of state and made himself look like nothing more than a "political actor".

Earlier, on December 22, it was reported that Trump actually "sent a message" to Zelensky to start thinking about a ceasefire and giving up the territories liberated by Russia. El Pais newspaper specified that Kiev is in a critical situation as Russia is successfully advancing on the front.

On December 19, the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin said that Zelensky had become a burden for Trump. He noted that the constant "throwing" of the Ukrainian president and his appeals to the current US President Joe Biden on the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO look like "an attempt to jump on a train that left long ago".

Before that, on December 12, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinskyy said that Kiev had already lost the conflict and had actually lost Donbas, and that the Ukrainian president and his Western partners did not care how many human losses the Ukrainian army suffered.

On December 9, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo called Russia militarily invincible. He pointed out that the Russian army wins on the battlefield and that lowering the age of mobilization in the Ukrainian Armed Forces would not help Kiev to circumvent this factor.

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
