One person was killed in a road accident in the Sakhalin Region

As a result of an accident involving a car and a truck in Nogliki district of Sakhalin region, one person was killed and one injured. This was reported by the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate on December 23.

The incident occurred on Friday, December 20, at the 591st kilometer of the highway Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - Okha. A Toyota Hilux Surf passenger car drove into the oncoming lane for an overtaking maneuver and collided with a KamAZ truck.

"As a result of the accident, the 71-year-old passenger of the car Toyota Hilux Surf died at the scene, the 73-year-old driver was injured," - stated in the message of the press service in the Telegram-channel.

Specialists of the State Automobile Inspectorate are conducting an inspection on the fact of the accident. The circumstances of the incident are established.
