Crimean paratroopers told about the liberation of the border area of the Kursk region from the AFU

Crimean paratroopers-attack troops of the North group of troops have told Izvestiya how they liberate the border areas of Kursk Region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).

Before leaving, the group thoroughly studies the map of the area, laying out a route to the location of enemy units in advance. The soldiers are transported to the place of assault operations by the crew of an amphibious assault vehicle (ABM). Soldiers use all sorts of means to improve the equipment and strengthen its defense.

"Here we invented it ourselves: they measured the roof, gave us the material, made everything, clad it, camouflaged it. The tasks were evacuation, shooting. Everything falls on these vehicles," the commander of the BMD with the call sign Oper shared .

The combat vehicle is also directly involved in assault operations. The crew supports the infantry by firing from closed firing positions.

"Many times assaulted, our vehicle is the most prepared. Not once has it ever gone out without a hundred percent hit," - shared the gunner of the BMD with the call sign Cross.

It is noted that the crew has almost no free time, it is necessary to act quickly and clearly.

"On the firing line the machine goes out virtually the same as in combat conditions. For this purpose everything is arranged, in any free time the paratrooper does not sit still, works out," - pointed out Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.

The commander of the assault battalion with the call sign Baltika also added that they have to work hard, as the enemy "holds on to every centimeter of our land."

Earlier, on December 22, army aviation crews on Ka-52M helicopters disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border area of Kursk Region. The pilots launched missiles according to the coordinates of the aviation spotter and destroyed enemy armored vehicles and personnel. Destruction of the target was confirmed by the advanced aviation gunner. It is noted that the helicopters were assisted by ground troops to fulfill the combat task.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
