Media reported the collapse of a bridge with cars in Brazil

In the north of Brazil collapsed bridge, on which there were three trucks, one person died. This was reported on December 22 by the portal G1.

It is specified that the collapse of the central span of the bridge with a length of 533 m occurred on Sunday on the bridge Juscelino Cubicheca de Oliveira, which is located between the cities of Estreito in the state of Maranhão and Agiarnopolis in Tocantins. The cause of the collapse of the structure is being determined.

"Preliminary information indicates that there were three trucks on the bridge at the time of the collapse. A 25-year-old woman was found dead, two were rescued and taken to a hospital in the region, while five other people are missing. The state of health of the victims is not disclosed," - stated in the material of the portal.

As G1 writes, teams are working at the scene of the emergency to search for possible victims.

Earlier, on September 11, in Germany, a large section of the bridge Karolabrücke together with streetcar tracks collapsed into the Elbe River. It is reported that the collapse of the overpass occurred due to a defect in the district heating pipe.
