Netanyahu pledged to act decisively against the Houthis in Yemen

Israel plans to act against the Yemeni Houthis with the same "strength and determination" as against other Iranian satellites in the Middle East region. On December 22, the Israeli prime minister said on his Facebook page (part of Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia).

"Just as we acted decisively against the arms of Iran's axis of evil, we will act against the Houthis. With strength, determination and skill," he said in a video message.

It is specified that the Prime Minister made the statement after the Yemeni Houthis attacked Tel Aviv.

And while the Yemeni movement fills the vacuum, there has been diplomatic activity on the Gaza ceasefire

The IDF Spokesperson's Office reported thelaunch of a Yemeni rocket in the direction of central Israel earlier in the day. Then it was specified that as a result of the strike injured 30 people.

Before that, on December 19, it was reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the facilities of the Houthi regime in Yemen. The attacked targets are used by the Houthis for their military operations and transfer of Iranian weapons.

At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting a rocket fired from Yemen towards Israeli territory. The IDF also noted that due to the firing and the possibility of falling debris from the interception, air-raid sirens sounded in several areas of central Israel.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected Israeli territory to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
