Musk called for cuts in U.S. spending on European defense

TheU.S. should reduce defense spending on European countries because of the budget deficit and national debt. This was announced on December 22 by American billionaire and entrepreneur Ilon Musk.

"Why are American taxpayers funding a quarter of Europe's defense spending? It doesn't make sense, especially given our huge budget deficit and unsustainable debt growth," Musk said in a message on the social network X (former Twitter).

Earlier, on December 16, Musk said that if Washington fails to reduce the budget deficit, the U.S. is in big trouble.

Before that, on December 3, Musk said that the U.S. is rapidly approaching total bankruptcy due to the growing national debt.

On November 24, the U.S. national debt exceeded the $36 trillion mark for the first time in history. According to the latest information, the debt of the population amounted to almost $29 billion, the national debt - about $7 billion. Thus, the total debt amounted to more than $36 billion.
