The number of injured in the accident with a bus and a fire truck in the south-east of Moscow has increased to 17, including a child. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on December 22.
It is specified that 15 people, including a child and two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were taken to the medical center. Two more victims are being treated on an outpatient basis.
Izvestia correspondent Igor Kaporikov noted that the area around the incident is still cordoned off. Several large trees demolished as a result of the accident are lying next to the bus.
The accident on Novocherkasskiy Boulevard in Moscow occurred earlier in the day. The press service of the capital's State Traffic Police said that, tentatively, the driver of a fire truck ran a red light and collided with a bus and three cars that were waiting for a green traffic signal. Izvestiya" source said that among the injured were two employees of the Emergencies Ministry, one of whom was the chief of guard of the 76th fire station. The capital's Dept. of Transport specified that all the injured are receiving the necessary medical care, their injuries are not life-threatening.
