A woman was killed as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the village of Kirillovka in Klimovsky district in Bryansk Region. This was reported by the Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on December 22.

"Ukrainian terrorists attacked the village of Kirillovka in the Klimovsky district. Unfortunately, as a result of the terrorist attack a female resident of the village was killed," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz also reported that as a result of the AFU attack on the village of Krasny Bor in the Klimovsky district, one person was injured.

"Another attack was carried out by the AFU on the village of Krasny Bor in the Klimovsky district. As a result of the terrorist attack, a civilian of the village received mine-explosive wounds to the chest and face," the governor said.

He specified that the victim was taken to the district hospital, where he received the necessary medical care.

Earlier in the day Bogomaz reported that Russian air defense forces had eliminated five Ukrainian UAVs over the territory of the Bryansk region.

Before that, on December 21, the Defense Ministry said that 19 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed overnight over four Russian regions and the waters of the Black Sea.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
