The 330 kV high-voltage power supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" at Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant has been put into operation. This was reported in the press service of the plant on December 22.

It was specified that at the moment the power supply of the station in addition to the line 330 kV "Ferrosplavnaya-1" is provided by the line 750 kV "Dneprovskaya".

"Radiation background at the station and the adjacent territory is unchanged and is at the level corresponding to the normal operation of power units, and does not exceed natural background natural values," - said in a message published in the Telegram-channel.

The 330 kV high-voltage power supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" at Zaporizhzhya NPP was switched off by the action of automatics on December 20. No violations of safety limits and conditions were recorded then, as well as no changes in the radiation level behind ZNPP and in the areas nearest to the plant.

Prior to that, on December 10, a regular rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission observers was carried out at ZNPP, which was ensured by Russian servicemen.

On the same day, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi made a statement that the agency's official vehicle on the road to ZNPP was attacked by a drone. There were no casualties. He condemned the incident.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that it strongly condemns Kiev's attack on experts of the IAEA secretariat during their visit to ZNPP. The ministry also pointed to the Ukrainian authorities' complete disregard for humanitarian law and any agreements reached, as well as Kiev's disrespect for the staff of international organizations.

Zaporizhzhya region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. Since then, Zaporizhzhya NPP has been under constant IAEA control.
