Court arrests ex-General Director of Glavzarubezhstroy in fraud case

A court in Moscow has arrested Vadim Ledovskiy, former general director of Glavzarubezhstroy CJSC, as well as another defendant in a criminal fraud case. The cards on them appeared on December 22 on the website of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

It follows from the data that Ledovsky and his accomplice Timofeev A.E. were taken into custody in connection with charges under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on a large scale by a group of persons by prior conspiracy").

The company Glavzarubezhstroy CJSC went bankrupt in November 2022. Prior to that, the customers of its facilities were the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FSUE "Goszagran property", the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Culture and a number of other government agencies.

Before that, on December 20, the Leninsky District Court in Kursk decided to arrest the head of the Kursk Region Development Corporation Vladimir Lukin, who is accused of abuse of power. Lukin's actions led to the misappropriation of budget money in the amount of more than 173 million rubles. The regional prosecutor's office added that after the inspection a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on a large scale"). The amount of damage to the budget of Kursk region amounted to more than 800 million rubles.
