- Putin said that the response to the AFU attack on Tatarstan will be many times stronger

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 22 that Russia's response to the Ukrainian army's attack on Tatarstan will be many times stronger.
"Whoever and however much he tries to destroy something in our country, he will face many times greater destruction in his own country for it and will regret even more what he is trying to do in our country," the head of state said at a ceremony to open air and road infrastructure facilities in Russian regions.
Putin expressed confidence that all the facilities damaged in the attack would be restored.
He added that, among other things, Russia "will move forward at an even greater pace," developing the road network and urban construction. Putin emphasized that the pace of Kazan's development is the envy of many countries.
The day before, eight drones were fired at the territory of Kazan. As a result of the attack there was a fire in the houses of the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts. The arrival of UAVs in the residential complex "Azure Skies" was recorded on video.
Later, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said in a video message that three UAVs were aimed at defense-industrial complex facilities, while the rest of the strikes hit residential buildings. Some UAVs failed to detonate explosives, and work was carried out to eliminate them.
For the prompt elimination of the consequences in Tatarstan, an emergency regime was introduced. All mass events were canceled in the city. Hospitals of the capital of the republic were put on high alert.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
