A ship with sailors from Syria and Egypt has moored at the port berth in Kerch. This was reported on December 22 in the Telegram-channel of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport.

On December 20, the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office reported that the ship gave a distress signal in the Kerch Strait.

"Gam Express is moored at the berth of the seaport of Kerch for safe parking of the vessel, the crew is provided with everything necessary", - stated in the message.

Coordinated operational actions were carried out by the Azov-Black Sea branch of FSUE "Rosmorport", FGBU "AMP Black Sea", FGUP "NIKIMP", subordinate to Rosmorrechflot.

Thirteen people were evacuated from the first vessel: one of them died. From the tanker "Volgoneft-239" On December 16, all 14 crew members were evacuated. Two criminal cases were initiated over the incident, one of which was reclassified as more serious because of the death of a sailor.
