Ambulance helicopter crashes into hospital building in Turkey's Mugla


An ambulance helicopter belonging to the Turkish Health Ministry crashed into a hospital building in Mugla province in the south of the country. This was reported by TRT Haber TV channel on December 22.
The helicopter hit the top floor of the building, after which it fell into the hospital courtyard. From the impact on the ground, the rotorcraft fell apart.
As a result of the accident four people were killed: two pilots and two medics. Fire, medical, police brigades and AFAD (Turkish Agency for Disaster Management and Emergency Situations) are working at the scene of the accident.
Before that, on October 26, it was reported about the accident with a Mi-2 helicopter in Darovsky district of Kirov region. The Governor of the region Alexander Sokolov said that on board in addition to the pilot were only medics. As a result of the accident four people were killed. On December 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded the Order of Pirogov to the medical workers of the air ambulance who died in the helicopter crash. The state awards were given to nurse Tatiana Gmyzina, nurse Sergei Shirokikh and doctor Alexander Gysku.
