Traffic at Bushuley station in Zabaikalye reopened after an accident with trains


Traffic at the railway station Bushuley in the Transbaikal Territory has been restored after two freight trains collided and cars derailed. This was reported in the press service of Russian Railways on Sunday, December 22.
"At 10:05 Moscow time, traffic was opened at Bushuley station. All passenger trains delayed as a result of the derailment of freight cars were sent on their routes," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the company.
At the moment, measures are being taken to bring trains into the schedule, and at the station continue restoration work.
Two freight trains collided at the crossing Bushuley - Zhireken in Chernyshevsky district of the Transbaikal Territory on Sunday night. As a result, 24 cars derailed, and traffic in both directions was completely suspended.
A criminal case was opened after the incident, and Russian Railways also initiated its own investigation. The preliminary cause of the incident in the company called the fracture of the frame of the wheelset. It was reported that the railroad services started restoration work.
