Ex-US intelligence officer calls AFU strikes on Russia terrorism

The Kiev regime is committing acts of terrorism by striking Russia, former U.S. intelligence officer Scott Ritter said Dec. 22.
"This is a 100 percent act of terrorism. <...> There is a legal definition of terrorism, and what the Ukrainians are doing now is terrorism. Plain and simple," he said on the air of the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian drone attack on Kazan had no military value and was only related to Kiev's political motives. Ritter added that the Ukrainian authorities would not achieve any goals in this way.
The day before, eight drones were fired at the territory of Kazan. As a result of the attack there was a fire in the houses of the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts. The arrival of UAVs in the residential complex "Azure Skies" was recorded on video.
Later in a video message, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that three UAVs were aimed at defense-industrial complex facilities, while the rest of the strikes hit residential buildings. Some UAVs failed to detonate explosives, and work was carried out to eliminate them.
For the prompt elimination of the consequences in Tatarstan, an emergency regime was introduced. All mass events were canceled in the city. Hospitals of the capital of the republic were put on high alert.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
