Igor Fedyuk, a doctor at the hospital where a passenger and two crew members of the An-2 airplane found in Kamchatka, were taken, told Izvestia about the condition of the victims.

"They all may have hypothermia, because they were there for three days," the doctor specified.

Fedyuk also noted that one of the victims is now undergoing surgery, he has a closed head injury. Another one of those on board was diagnosed with a chest contusion. As indicated by the doctor, all the injured are hospitalized and under observation.

Earlier in the day, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka region Sergei Lebedev reported that the previously missing An-2 airplane was found in Kamchatka. He specified that people were evacuated by Mi-8 helicopter to Milkovo. Rosaviatsia spokesman Artem Korenyako specified that the An-2 with two crew members and a passenger was found near Tundrovaya Mountain. A criminal case on violation of the rules of operation of air transport has been instituted.

The passenger and two crew members of the plane told "Izvestia" that at the moment of landing due to heavy fog it was not visible where the plane landed. The instruments also failed and they had to navigate by pre-wings. According to the men, they had small supplies of food with them, which helped them survive for more than two days. They also tried not to leave the aircraft due to snow and wind, and dug a hole under the wing of the airplane to sleep.

The disappearance of the An-2 became known on December 19. At the same time in Kamchatka began an investigation into the fact of an aviation accident. In the Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region specified that on board the plane in addition to three people were 800 kg of commercial cargo. Later, the airplane received a signal about the emergency landing, and a ground group of rescuers went to the alleged place of its commission.

The next day a helicopter with rescuers from the village of Milkovo flew out, and a Mi-8 helicopter with rescuers from the town of Yelizovo was planned. Soon they caught a stable radio signal of the beacon in the area of An-2 search, but the Mi-8 helicopter landed to wait out the weather. The search for An-2 was complicated by weather conditions and terrain peculiarities, and was resumed on December 22 due to weather improvement.
