The crew of the An-2 airplane found in Kamchatka told the details of the emergency landing. Images from the airport Milkovo, where the rescued people were taken are at the disposal of "Izvestia".

Earlier in the day, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka region Sergei Lebedev reported that the previously missing An-2 airplane was found in Kamchatka. He specified that people were evacuated by Mi-8 helicopter to Milkovo. The spokesman of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FAA) Artem Korenyako also specified that the Mi-8 helicopter found the An-2 airplane with two crew members and a passenger in the area of Tundrovaya Mountain.

The disappearance of theAn-2 airplane became known on December 19. At the same time, the Eastern Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation noted that in Kamchatka began an investigation into the fact of an aviation accident with the aircraft An-2. Later Lebedev said that from the aircraft received a signal of emergency landing.

On the same day to the place of the alleged emergency landing of the plane An-2 in Kamchatka went to the ground group of rescuers.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region also noted that a helicopter with rescuers from the regional search and rescue base flew from the village of Milkovo. In addition, an Mi-8 helicopter with personnel from the Kamchatka Rescue Center on board was planned to depart from the town of Yelizovo.

Soon Lebedev said that the rescuers caught a stable radio signal of a beacon in the search area for the missing An-2 airplane in Kamchatka, and the Mi-8 helicopter landed and is waiting out the weather. Also, Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako noted that the search for the An-2 airplane, missing in Kamchatka, is complicated by difficult weather conditions, as well as terrain features. In the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region on December 22 reported on the resumption of the search in connection with the improvement of weather conditions.

The Eastern Interregional Investigative Department on Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case over the incident. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
