Two freight trains collided at the crossing of stations Bushuley - Zhireken in Chernyshevsky district in the Transbaikal Territory, resulting in the derailment of 42 cars. This was reported in the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office on December 22.

According to preliminary data, on December 22 at about 07:30 local time (01:30 Moscow time), two trains of freight trains collided at the crossing Bushulei - Zhireken at the 6623rd km of the Transbaikal railroad. The first train derailed 35 cars, the second - seven cars loaded with coal. Traffic in both directions has been completely suspended.

"A recovery train has left for the site. There is no threat to environmental safety. There are no victims," - specified in the message in the Telegram-channel.

Mogocha transport prosecutor's office organized a check. In addition, the Eastern Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported the initiation of criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of rail transport").

Earlier, on December 16, in the Vanino district of Khabarovsk Krai, a locomotive in a train collided with a dressing and paddling machine. It was in an oversized place on the parallel track. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, the tracks were not damaged. Traffic on the road section was restored.
