The governor of the Bryansk region reported the destruction of five AFU UAVs over the region

Russian air defense forces have eliminated five Ukrainian drones over the territory of Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on December 22.

"Five enemy UAVs of aircraft type were detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense over the Bryansk region," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz specified that there were no casualties or damage. Emergency services are working at the site.

Earlier, on December 21, the Defense Ministry reported that 19 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight over four regions of Russia and the Black Sea.

Before that, on December 20, air defense forces eliminated four Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. The strikes were foiled between 19:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.

Ukraine 's armed forces are trying to carry out strikes on Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
