As a result of an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a fire broke out at a fuel infrastructure facility in the village of Stalniy Kon in Orel Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Andrei Klychkov on December 22.

"Currently, the Orel region is once again subjected to a massive enemy UAV attack, which again resulted in a fire at a fuel infrastructure facility in the settlement of Stalnoy Kon in the Orel municipal district," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Klychkov also said that the Ukrainian drone attack was still ongoing and asked to remain calm. According to him, there is no information about casualties and victims. Operational services are working at the scene and measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the fire.

Earlier, on December 14, Klychkov said that fuel caught fire at an infrastructure facility in the Orel region as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones. The head of the region specified that there were no victims or casualties. Later, he said that the situation at the fuel infrastructure facility after the overnight attack by the AFU drones was under control.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
