Putin emphasized the importance of Russia's energy sector
Russian President Vladimir Putin, congratulating employees and veterans of Russia's energy industry on their professional holiday, emphasized that further strengthening of the country's industrial potential depends on this industry. The corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website on December 22.
"I congratulate on the professional holiday of workers and veterans of this strategically important, basic, without exaggeration fundamental industry. After all, the further strengthening of the country's industrial potential directly depends on its efficiency and reliability," the congratulatory message reads.
Also, the Russian leader continued, this industry has an impact on the progressive development of regions, dynamic growth of the national economy, hence, on the well-being and improvement of the quality of life of the country's citizens.
Putin drew attention to the fact that employees of the energy industry are daily engaged in ensuring the stability of the Russian energy system, make a great contribution to the modernization of network infrastructure and increase generating capacity. Thus, this industry is becoming more high-tech every year, and advanced engineering and digital solutions are being introduced into practice, environmental standards are being raised, the head of state emphasized.
"I will especially note the courage and determination of specialists who ensure the restoration and operation of the energy systems of Donbass and Novorossiya, our other regions that are in close proximity to the line of contact," the president added.
Putin also said that in the coming years it is necessary to continue to qualitatively change the image of the energy complex of Russia, including through modernization of power grids and launch of new generation facilities. Of fundamental importance, the president noted the need to develop the power engineering industry on the basis of in-house developments.
"I am convinced that your rich experience and competence will allow you to implement all the plans you have outlined. I wish you good health and prosperity and heartily congratulate you on the coming New Year," the Russian leader added.
Earlier, on October 9, Vladimir Putin noted that the number of industrial enterprises in Russia has increased in recent years. The country has opened hundreds of new factories and workshops, among which there are real industrial giants. According to the Russian leader, several significant investment projects have been successfully implemented in a number of regions of the country. New production facilities have been set up in the fields of power generation, automobile manufacturing, textile and pulp and paper products, and ventilation and air conditioning systems.
