MMA fighter Emelianenko knocked out standup comic Goncharov at NFL tournament


MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko defeated novice fighter and standup comic Alexei Goncharov in the first round. The fight took place as part of the National Fighting League (NFL) tournament in Ingushetia on December 21.
Goncharov was the first to throw punches, but they didn't reach his opponent. In the process, he missed a punch, from which he fell to the canvas. Emelianenko began to finish his opponent at once. As a result, the fight lasted a little longer than half a minute.
The 43-year-old Emelianenko had his last professional fight in November 2021. On his account 38 fights MMA, among which 28 wins, nine losses and one draw. The name of his opponent was kept secret until December 20.
The resumption of the career of Alexander Emelianenko became known on December 3. On that day, the fighter signed a contract with the National Fighting League.
Earlier, on October 27, UAE fighter Khamzat Chimaev defeated Australian Robert Whittaker in the first round at UFC 308. Chimaev earned his 14th victory in MMA fights without a single loss.
