The administration of the recreation center "Skazka" in Tobolsk, where children were poisoned by chlorine vapors, did not react in any way to the complaints of visitors about the pungent odor. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 21 by one of the victims.

According to the girl, her daughter was celebrating a birthday with friends in the pool.

"Half an hour passes, we all start stinging eyes <...> Thought that from the water. Time passes, they start coughing. I call the administrator back, I say that we smell something, either chemical or chlorine, all the children are coughing. They tell me: "No, we cleaned the pool yesterday. Everything is fine," she said.

According to the victim, she was promised that the manageress would come, but she never did.

"They didn't offer us anything. They didn't even come until the ambulance came and loaded all the children," she said, adding that the staff stopped answering the phone after the incident.

Earlier in the day it was reported that 17 people were hospitalized after swimming in the pool at the recreation center in Tobolsk. Among them were 15 children and two adults. On the fact of the incident was initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").

The Ministry of Health of the region specified that 15 minors are in a condition of average severity. Two adult patients went to the medical center on their own, after rendering assistance and conducting examinations they were sent for outpatient treatment.
