In Adygeya, a check on the fact of torture of children by their father and stepmother was initiated

In Adygea, a procedural check on the fact of torture of children by their father and stepmother was organized. This was reported on December 21 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the republic.

According to the agency, the information was spread on the Internet that the minors aged 17 and 16 are being tortured by their father and stepmother in the village of Panakes.

A check is being carried out on the grounds of a crime under article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Torture"). It is specified that the process involved employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and prevention bodies.

Earlier, on December 13, in the Prosecutor's office of Nizhny Novgorod region reported that a local resident from 2015 to 2024 tortured four minor children and subsequently sewed up their wounds independently.

On this fact initiated a criminal case under paragraph "a", paragraph "d", paragraph "d" part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Torture against two or more known minors, committed with particular cruelty, abuse or torment"). The children were seized and placed in a specialized institution.
