Russian Armed Forces hit Ukrainian military-industrial complex energy facilities

The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) have launched a strike on energy facilities of Ukraine's military-industrial complex. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, December 21.
"Operative-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck the energy facilities that ensure the operation of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.
It is specified that the blow was also struck at the infrastructure of military airfields, places of storage of strike drones, as well as at accumulations of personnel and military equipment of the enemy army in 147 areas.
Earlier, on December 13, Ukraine requested electricity imports from five neighboring countries after a massive Russian strike on the energy infrastructure. It was reported at the time that the imports would be 13.4 thousand MWh, with a maximum capacity in some hours of up to 1.09 thousand MW.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that the large-scale strike on Ukrainian energy facilities was, among other things, a response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on Taganrog with ATACMS missiles.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
