Flight from Sheremetyevo to Egypt postponed until Sunday morning

The flight from Sheremetyevo airport to Sharm el-Sheikh, delayed for a day, was postponed to Sunday morning, December 22. About it on Saturday, December 21, reports the press service of the Moscow interregional transport prosecutor's office.

"The board to Sharm el-Sheikh from Sheremetyevo will depart tomorrow, December 22 at 7:00 Moscow time," - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

The departure time was changed due to the expectation of a reserve airplane.

It is specified that the situation was taken under control of the prosecutor's office. The agency monitors compliance with the rights of passengers. A hotline was organized.

Earlier in the day it became known that passengers of one of the flights from Moscow to Sharm el-Sheikh more than a day are in the waiting room of Sheremetyevo airport because of the delay in departure. It was specified that the plane was to depart on Friday, December 20, at 5:50 Moscow time.

One of the passengers named Timofey told Izvestia that the probable reason for the delay was the breakdown of the plane. According to him, people are trying to settle in hotels, and yesterday there were not enough seats for everyone, but there was an opportunity to stay in the business lounge. The man expressed the opinion that there would be no compensation for the delay, because the flight was not canceled, but only postponed.
