In the Tyumen region 15 children hospitalized after swimming in a swimming pool
In the Tyumen region 17 people were hospitalized after swimming in a swimming pool, among them 15 children and two adults. This was reported in the regional prosecutor's office on December 21.
It was specified that the victims spent time at the recreation center "Skazka" in Tobolsk. The local inter-district Prosecutor's office organized a check.
"Fifteen children, including one child born in 2024, and two adults were hospitalized in a health care facility with a preliminary diagnosis of "poisoning with chlorine vapors"," - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel.
"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements") on the fact of poisoning by chlorine vapors of 15 children and two adults," the report published in the Telegram-channel of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Tyumen region reads
According to the investigation, on December 21, at a recreation center near Tobolsk, a company of adults and children were at an event. After visiting the swimming pool, two women, as well as 15 children aged nine to 11 years and one child aged three months felt sick - they started coughing, red eyes and skin, nausea appeared.
As specified in the press service of the Department of Health of the Tyumen region, 15 minors are in a state of average severity. Two adult patients went to the medical center on their own, after rendering assistance and conducting examinations they were sent for outpatient treatment. The Department's message leads the information center of the government of the region in Telegram-channel.
Earlier, on December 19, an outbreak of intestinal infection was recorded in a country hotel in Omsk, signs of the disease were observed in 25 people. Among the victims were nine children.
