Kazan hospitals put on high alert due to UAV attack

Hospitals in Kazan have been put on high alert after an attack on the city by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan told reporters on Saturday, December 21.
"All hospitals in Kazan have been put on high alert," TASS quoted the ministry as saying.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense and REB forces destroyed and suppressed six drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of Kazan between 7:40 and 9:20 Moscow time. According to the press service of the head of the republic and the mayor's office, the strikes caused fires in houses in the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts, no casualties were reported.
Arrival in the LCD "Azure Skies" recorded on video. According to operational data, the first drone hit the apartment building at 7:50. Rescuers immediately began evacuating residents, and at this time there was a strike of the second UAV.
Izvestia's source said that the drone also hit a house in the Manhattan housing estate. In connection with the attack in the city canceled all mass events, as well as temporarily limited the work of the airport.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
