Russian gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline have broken the daily record for the second time in a month. This was reported by the press service of Gazprom on December 21. The exact figures of supplies are not disclosed.

"On December 20, Gazprom for the second time in a month updated the absolute record of daily gas supplies to China through the Power of Siberia. The supplied volume exceeded Gazprom's contractual obligations", - stated in the message of the energy company in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that on December 1, a month ahead of schedule, Gazprom reached the maximum level of gas supplies to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline under a long-term contract with CNPC.

Earlier, on September 20, Gazprom announced that it had reached an agreement with CNPC on early delivery of gas to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline to the maximum contractual level. The increase in supplies was previously scheduled for early 2025.

In November, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia was also considering a new potential route for gas exports to China that passes through Kazakhstan. The matter may concern supplies of another 35 billion cubic meters of energy resource.
