The losses of the AFU in the Kursk region amounted to more than 300 soldiers over the day

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 300 servicemen in Kursk Region over the past 24 hours. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 21.

The Russian army eliminated a Ukrainian tank, two American-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers, four armored combat vehicles, eight vehicles, as well as two electronic warfare stations.

In addition, the "North" troop group defeated Ukrainian formations near 11 border settlements and repelled two counterattacks by assault groups.

In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the AFU lost up to 42,750 soldiers.

The day before, the crew of the Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces destroyed the AFU's manpower and armored vehicles in the Kursk border area. The strike was carried out by aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK).

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
