Kazan airport lifted temporary restrictions on flights

Kazan airport has lifted temporary restrictions on flights. This was reported by Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako on December 21.
"At the airport of Kazan lifted restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft (VS)," he wrote in Telegram-channel.
"RIA Novosti" in the press service of the Kazan airport said that during the restrictions flights from Yekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Dushanbe and Ulan-Ude heading to the city were redirected to Ulyanovsk, Samara and Yekaterinburg.
Earlier in the day, Rosaviatsia imposed restrictions on the reception and dispatch of flights at Kazan airport for security reasons after the Ukrainian drone attack on Tatarstan.
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was destroyed over Tatarstan around 7:50 Moscow time. Later, the Kazan mayor's office specified that as a result of the strikes there was a fire in houses in the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts.
The flight of the Ukrainian drone to the residential complex "Azure Skies" was recorded on video. In addition, the source of "Izvestiya" reported that the drone hit a house in the residential complex "Manhattan".
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
