Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's switch to insults and profanity in his speech shows his powerlessness before Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement, Viktor Medvedchuk, on December 21.

As the politician noted, it is impossible for the Ukrainian authorities to talk to Moscow from a position of strength, and Kiev had no other strategy.

"The transition of Zelensky and [the head of his office Andrei] Yermak to profanity eloquently shows that Russian President Vladimir Putin has beaten them clean. <...> Quotes from the illegitimate Zelensky and his sidekick, the subchick Yermak, should more appropriately be given in pictures labeled "16+," Medvedchuk's article on the movement's website reads.

The head of the Other Ukraine movement pointed out that once Ukrainian propagandists launched a kind of slogan that they would fight the Russian leader until the moment "who blinks first."

"The reaction of Zelensky and Yermak suggests that they not only blinked, but got a nervous tic and incontinence combined. <...> The 'sweet couple' knows that the Russian leader is right, and if he moves from words to deeds, all the praised Western NATO aid to Zelensky's gang will not help," Medvedchuk said.

Prior to that, Zelensky used the swear word on December 19, commenting on social media on Putin's words about his readiness to conduct a technological experiment with Ukraine and test its air defense for the ability to shoot down Russia's new Oreshnik missile.

Earlier on December 20, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Zelensky would not be able to retain the presidency because his country does not need him. According to him, Zelensky's fundamentally wrong rhetoric jeopardizes the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. He added that negotiations with the Russian president were possible only after Zelensky's legal return to the post of the head of state. Earlier, on December 4, Medvedev predicted Zelensky's disgraceful emigration.

At the same time, Verkhovna Rada MP Artem Dmytruk said that Zelensky and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak, were obstructing a peace agreement in Ukraine. According to him, those involved should be punished for destroying the country with their decisions.

On 16 December, Putin said at an enlarged meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry board that the Kiev regime was losing signs of statehood and that the current Ukrainian leadership was illegitimate. On December 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed to Ukraine's fatigue with Zelensky. In addition, Peskov pointed to a change of mood in European countries.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
