The weather forecaster reported the arrival of a long period of warm weather in Moscow

A long period of warm weather is coming to Moscow. This was reported on December 21 by Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.

He noted that the cold weather in the capital flashed very quickly.

"A long period of moderate warm weather is coming, when the temperature will be higher than normal," he said in a conversation with TASS.

According to the expert, the temperature will rise "much higher than normal" and will hold until the middle of next week.

In addition, Vilfand said that from Monday, December 23, and until the middle of the week, the night temperature will be kept in the range of 0...-5 degrees Celsius, while the daytime temperature will be about 0 degrees Celsius. He also pointed to high pressure and light precipitation. According to him, we should not expect precipitation on December 25, and especially on December 26 and 27.

Earlier in the day, Vilfand said that bad weather is expected in some regions of the Northwestern, Southern, Volga and Far Eastern districts of the Russian Federation. According to the expert, residents will face rain, wind and ice.

On December 19, he warned Muscovites about changeable weather for the rest of the week. Vilfand noted that the situation will change very quickly, but promised the preservation of snow cover in the capital.
