Rescue workers and all operational services are working near the Azure Skies residential complex in Kazan, which was hit by two AFU drones. On Saturday, November 21, Izvestiya correspondent from the scene reports that specialists said that another drone may have flown into the building.

According to operational data, the first drone hit the high-rise building at 7:50. Rescuers immediately promptly began evacuating the residents of the building, and at that moment the second unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) struck.

Now at the scene of the emergency deployed operational headquarters. The head of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov is there and keeps the situation under control. Thick smoke is billowing from the windows of the upper floors of the residential multi-storey building where the blows came.

"According to some reports, another arrival is now expected. We were asked to move farther away from the building, as the glass breakage can be large when the drone hits," said correspondent Ivan Kuzmin.

Authorities of Tatarstan reported about eight drone arrivals in Kazan. The Defense Ministry later reported that six drones were eliminated.

Shifts at industrial enterprises have been evacuated and are in shelters. Against the backdrop of these events, Rosaviatsia imposed temporary restrictions on the operation of Kazan airport.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
