Fraudsters swindled more than 6 million rubles from a pensioner from St. Petersburg

A pensioner from St. Petersburg has given more than 6 million rubles to fraudsters, a source told Izvestiya.

The attackers introduced themselves as employees of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and law enforcement agencies. Citing the safety of the 86-year-old St. Petersburg woman's money, they forced her to hand over her savings to them.

The woman gave the money to the unknown men, who came to her home disguised as couriers.

A criminal case has been initiated.

Before that, on December 14, the source of "Izvestiya" said that in St. Petersburg fraudsters stole more than 34 million rubles from a pensioner.
