Tatarstan authorities reported eight drone arrivals in Kazan
Eight drone attacks were recorded in Kazan, six attacks hit residential buildings. This was reported on Saturday, December 21, in the press service of the head of Tatarstan.
"By this minute, eight arrivals have been recorded. Of them one - on an industrial enterprise, one - over the river, six - on a residential area", - stated in the message.
There was no information about the dead and injured. Shifts at industrial enterprises evacuated and are in shelters.
As specified in the Telegram-channel of the Kazan mayor's office, children were also evacuated from those schools where it is necessary for safety reasons. They were temporarily placed in shelters until appropriate instructions were received.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was destroyed over Tatarstan around 7:50 Moscow time. Later, the mayor's office specified that the strikes resulted in fire in houses in the Sovetsky and Kirovsky districts.
The flight of the Ukrainian drone to the residential complex "Azure Skies" on Saturday was recorded on video. In addition, the source of Izvestiya reported that the drone hit a house in the residential complex "Manhattan". Against the backdrop of these events, Rosaviatsia imposed temporary restrictions on the operation of Kazan airport.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
