IDF reports several casualties in rocket attack on Israel

The Israeli army recorded the launch of one rocket from the side of Yemen in the direction of central Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service said.

"After sirens sounded in central Israel some time ago, one projectile fired from Yemen was detected and unsuccessful attempts were made to intercept it," the message in the Telegram channel specified.

Later, the IDF specified that the attack injured several people, they were hospitalized for medical treatment.

And while the Yemeni movement fills the vacuum, there has been diplomatic activity on the Gaza ceasefire

Earlier, on December 19, the representative of the movement's armed forces Yahya Saria said that the Houthi missile forces carried out a drone attack on a target located in Tel Aviv. He emphasized that the Houthis will stop their attacks the moment Israel's aggression in the Gaza Strip stops.

At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting a rocket fired from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Later in the day, the IDF attacked the facilities of the Houthi regime in Yemen. It was specified that the attacked targets are used by the Houthis for their military operations and transfer of Iranian weapons.

Prior to that, on December 16, it was reported that the Yemeni Houthis struck a military facility near Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile. As a result of the successful operation, all targets were achieved.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected Israeli territory to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
