Air defense forces destroyed 19 UAVs overnight over four Russian regions and the Black Sea

Overnight, 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed over four Russian regions and the waters of the Black Sea. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 21.

"During the past night, attempts of the Kiev regime to commit terrorist attacks with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation were suppressed," the ministry said in a statement.

Thus, nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed by on-duty air defense means over the territory of Belgorod region, five UAVs were shot down over the territory of Voronezh region, three - over the waters of the Black Sea and one destroyed over the territories of Kursk region and Krasnodar Krai.

Earlier in the day, Governor Alexander Gusev reported about the downed UAVs of the AFU in the suburbs of Voronezh and two districts of Voronezh region. According to him, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack of Ukrainian drones.

The day before, on December 20, the Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian drones over Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. The strikes were foiled between 19:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.
