Military groups of troops "West" have opened and suppressed more than 100 objects of the AFU

Artillery units of the "West" grouping of troops have opened and suppressed more than 100 facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a day. This was reported by the head of the press center of the grouping Leonid Sharov on December 21.

"In the course of counter-battery combat, artillery units uncovered and suppressed more than 100 objects of the AFU. <...> Over the day, the AFU losses amounted to up to 500 servicemen," he noted in a conversation with TASS.

Sharov specified that air defense (air defense) calculations and mobile fire groups destroyed eight enemy drones of the Furia, Valkyrie, Leleka-100, Darts, Skif and PD-1 types. Russian units also eliminated 18 unmanned aircraft control points and a field depot with ammunition.

In addition, Sharov said, the enemy lost a T-72 tank, six vehicles, 13 howitzers, a Dana self-propelled howitzer, a D-20 gun, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit, and seven mortars.

Earlier in the day, servicemen of the ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun of the "West" group of forces destroyed AFU reconnaissance drones. During the firing operation, the unit destroyed reconnaissance drones of the Ukrainian militants "Furia" and "Leleka-100", thus organizing air cover for the positions of Russian units.
