Erbol reports 13 dead in minibus and truck accident in Bolivia

In Bolivia, a minibus and a Volvo truck collided on the highway La Paz - Oruro, killing 13 people. This was reported on December 20 by radio station Erbol.

It is reported that the truck drove out of its lane and collided head-on with the minibus.

"The 13 dead have been identified at the scene, including five men, six women and two children," said the director of the transit department, Col. Marco Cespedes, and added that three people were among the injured, including two men and a child. The injured were treated and transferred to a hospital in the city of El Alto.

Cespedes stated that police officers are working at the scene of the accident. The victims are also being evacuated.

Earlier, on August 18, in Bolivia, at least 14 people were killed and 18 injured in an accident with a bus that crashed into a cliff. It is reported that the accident may have occurred due to faulty brakes.
