Troops Group "Vostok" eliminated up to 185 AFU fighters over the day
The servicemen of the Russian troops grouping "Vostok" liquidated up to 185 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as destroyed an armored combat vehicle HMMWV, a howitzer M198 and two self-propelled artillery units "Akatsiya" of the enemy. This was reported by the head of the press center of the Eastern grouping of troops Alexander Gordeev on December 21.
"The units of the group of troops "East" continued to advance deep into the enemy's defense, defeated manpower and equipment, units of brigades of the National Guard of Ukraine, mechanized brigade, three brigades of the AFU thero-defense in the areas of Constantinople, Bogatyr, Storozhevoy and Novopol," - he said in conversation with "RIA Novosti".
In addition, according to Gordeyev, Russian servicemen disrupted the actions of six enemy engineering groups in the areas of Cherivnoye, Dorozhnyanka and Gulyaypol, as well as repelled counterattacks by the Ukrainian army's guard battalion.
He specified that in just one day the AFU lost up to 185 of its fighters, a HMMWV armored fighting vehicle, an M198 howitzer, two Akatsiya SAU, two vehicles and 19 aircraft-type drones.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that servicemen of the ZU-23 anti-aircraft system of the "West" group of troops destroyed reconnaissance drones of the AFU in the special operation zone. During the firing operation, the unit destroyed reconnaissance drones of the Ukrainian militants "Furia" and "Leleka-100", thus organizing air cover for the positions of Russian units.
