The governor of the Voronezh region announced the elimination of several AFU UAVs

Air defense forces have eliminated several Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the suburbs of Voronezh and two districts of Voronezh Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Gusev on December 21.

"On-duty air defense forces and means of REB (electronic warfare. - Ed.) in the suburbs of Voronezh and two districts of the region detected and destroyed several Ukrainian drones," he specified in his Telegram-channel.

Preliminarily, there are no casualties and destruction as a result of the attack of Ukrainian drones. The region remains in danger mode of UAV attack, the governor added.

On the eve, December 20, the Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian drones over Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions. The strikes were foiled between 19:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to carry out strikes on Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
