A one-year-old male alpaca has moved to the Moscow Zoo from the center for reproduction of rare animal species, located near Volokolamsk. This was announced on Friday, December 20, by Svetlana Akulova, Director General of the Moscow Zoo.
After the end of quarantine, he was transferred to the children's zoo to the female Zarina. Their first meeting went well. The animals will get used to each other for the first time, RT reports. Later, zoologists hope to form a pair of them, writes "Moscow 24".
A representative of the smallest humpless camels was born last fall. This is the long-awaited firstborn of a pair of alpacas - male Pufik and female Vatka. In a year he will be fully grown up. His snow-white fur is decorated with dark red spots. He is playful and curious, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".
Alpaca - the smallest of the calluses: their growth varies about 1 m, and their weight reaches 70 kg. Outwardly, they slightly resemble sheep, but have a slimmer build, reports the website kp.ru.

Slightly less than half of the views were pandas - 360 thousand, also popular are Timothy the manul and capybaras (more than 155 thousand and about 133 thousand respectively).
