President of the Russian Cynological Federation Vladimir Golubev told why a dog pushes its master with its nose.

In a conversation with Radio 1 on Friday, December 20, the expert explained that dogs use several channels to exchange information: acoustic, visual and olfactory (related to the sense of smell. - Ed.). They contact each other and humans with the help of sounds, visual signals, including through their bodies.

"Dogs do not know how to talk and use other tools to contact humans and animals, one of which is nose pushing," Golubev emphasized.

According to him, this is how pets attract attention, ask for food. If a dog wants to play, he can take a ball in his teeth, bring it to the owner and tuck it into his hands with his nose, RT writes. This gesture can also express affection for a person and greeting. In addition, between themselves with such a gesture, dogs can invite each other to play or try to dominate.

Earlier, on December 12, Golubev told the agency of city news "Moscow" that small breed dogs begin to age at about six to eight years, and large breeds a little earlier - at five to six years. He added that age changes in dogs are similar to human ones. The pet loses activity, its coat turns gray, chronic diseases may appear, vision deteriorates, the musculoskeletal system and cardiovascular system suffer.

On December 6, Golubev noted that dogs perceive music differently: under one they can calm down, and under another - worry, notes 360.ru.

Then he also warned about the dangers that may be waiting for dogs in winter, and gave advice on how to protect pets during a walk. He noted that on a walk should not allow the pet to jump into piles of snow. The cynologist also urged to avoid walking on ice.

In November, Golubev said that games with a laser pointer are harmful to pets, among other things, because the animal will never be able to catch the desired object. This can negatively affect the nervous system of the dog. The specialist also advised not to play with a pet in the tug of war with objects - special ropes or a ball, writes the website kp.ru.

Before that, doctor of veterinary sciences, an expert of the Center for the study of nutrition and animal welfare Marianna Onufrienko in a conversation with NSN said that the basic set of emotions of dogs - joy, fear, anxiety, anger, and it is important for owners to distinguish the different manifestations of their pets.
